Fight Cholera Together
Cholera is a serious waterborne disease caused by contaminated food and water, especially in areas with poor sanitation and limited access to clean drinking water. Through awareness, hygiene education, and community support, Grow Together is committed to protecting vulnerable communities from cholera and promoting healthy living practices. Our mission is to spread awareness about prevention, safe water usage, and timely medical care to build healthier and safer rural communities across Odisha.

Safe Water, Safe Villages
On 22.06.2025, Grow Together conducted a Cholera Awareness Program at Kaibalyagadia, Kalinga Nagar, a rural village in Jajpur district, Odisha. The program focused on educating villagers about the dangers of cholera, its rapid spread through contaminated water, and the importance of hygiene and sanitation. Awareness was created regarding safe drinking water, handwashing practices, proper waste disposal, and early medical treatment to protect vulnerable rural tribal communities from this life-threatening disease.

Bringing Awareness Beyond Healthcare
Villagers were guided about the early symptoms of cholera, the importance of staying hydrated, and simple home remedies that can help during emergencies. Awareness leaflets, soaps, and Electral sachets were distributed to encourage healthy hygiene practices and disease prevention. The program also included the distribution of 60 umbrellas among elderly villagers as a gesture of support and community care. Through education and essential aid, the initiative aimed to strengthen health awareness among rural tribals.
